From the grinding of the eggshell, a very soft white powder is obtained, suitable for all watery techniques. Eggshell White served as a non-toxic and stable alternative to Lead White in book painting. The fine, soft powder has relatively good opacity in aqueous binders. Eggshell White is also suitable for mixing light shades.
